My name is Mirjana Gavrić, I’m Bosnian born bi-lingual (English) psychotherapist with over a decade of experience. I offers support to individuals, couples, and families through both online and in-person sessions.
I practice from an integrative approach, with a strong emphasis on Gestalt therapy, Integrative and Schema Therapy. Gestalt therapy focuses on the present moment and encourages self-awareness through experiential techniques. I strive to help clients understand and attend to their current experiences and feelings, fostering a deeper connection with themselves and their emotions.
In addition to Gestalt therapy, I incorporates Schema Therapy to address longstanding patterns and negative beliefs that influence clients' lives. This approach helps clients identify and change deeply entrenched schemas, aiming to heal from deep-seated emotional pain and improve their overall well-being.
Living in Copenhagen as i foreigner, I understands the unique challenges faced by expats and provides specialised support to help them navigate the complexities of living in a foreign country.
I have many years of experience working with trauma and is particularly skilled in supporting clients through their healing journeys. I’m also deeply committed to serving the LGBT community, providing a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore their identities and experiences.
My therapeutic style is characterised by a compassionate and empathetic presence, where I fosters a collaborative and trusting relationship with my clients. Mirjana’s approach is client-centred, allowing individuals to lead the process while providing guidance and insight.
Rooted in a psychodynamic framework, my practice focuses on the therapeutic relationship and the impact of family systems on individual well-being.
